Precision CNC machining is an automated mechanical process that allows to remove portions of material until you get the desired geometric shape of the piece.

how cnc machining works

The computer numeric control lathe (like a traditional lathe) consists of two main parts (or instruments), namely the spindle and the tool tower (see infographic). The main difference with a traditional lathe lies in the fact that cnc machining is managed through a computer, which performs precision calculations, checks measurements and progress of cutting and removal processes. The material bar from which the final piece will be made is applied to the spindle; while the tools / cutting tower of various types are configured, which will be used to turn the resulting material up to obtain the desired shape.



The precision machining process works with two movement types:
1) Rotazione (of the piece);
2) Horizontal movement (of the cutting / removal tool).


Precision CNC machining (high volumes of pieces)

The numerically controlled machining (computer numeric control) is entirely controlled by a calculator that determines all the stages of cutting advancement and removal. This technologically advanced process allows the realization of pieces with high precision geometries and above all with high reproduction capacity and delivery speed.
